The North Coast Allied Health Association is the peak body for allied health professionals across the North Coast region. It continues to be supported by Healthy North Coast and has a vibrant Board of Directors and membership offering advocacy, professional development opportunities and networking.
Aims and Objectives
The North Coast Allied Health Association aims to:
- Improve access to the full range of allied health professional services to meet North Coast community needs;
- Build the quality of allied health service provision in the region;
- Support allied health professionals on the North Coast to deliver high quality services; and
- Promote integration of care between the different professions and various agencies providing primary, community and hospital healthcare on the North Coast.
The North Coast Allied Health Association objectives include:
- Lead the advancement of allied health practice on the North Coast community;
- Represent the allied health sector on local, regional and state matters affecting health and wellbeing;
- Provide a collective regional voice for allied health professionals on the North Coast;
- Contribute to improved integration of healthcare and client-focused service provision;
- Liaise and collaborate with key regional health and community services organisations to improve health services;
- Provide a range of services and supports to members, including professional development and networking events and collaborative research opportunities;
- Contribute to overall health planning in the region; and
- Develop a strong and effective Association on behalf of members and the community.
